What We Publish
World Mythology Essays
Research-grounded essays on the mythology, cosmology, and storytelling traditions of specific peoples and cultures. Named by the people themselves, not by geographic catch-alls. 800–4,000 words.
The Cosmological Record
Essays and research on the astronomical and cosmological traditions of the world's peoples — and how those traditions generate possibilities for speculative fiction. 800–4,000 words.
World Sci-Fi
Speculative fiction built from a cosmological or storytelling tradition — one you know, one you have read into. We are interested in stories whose structure comes from the tradition, not only their setting. 1,000–7,500 words.
Rates
We pay for all accepted work. Current rates are published here and updated as the publication grows. We are building toward SFWA-qualifying rates ($0.06/word minimum for fiction).

Guidelines
- Work must be original and previously unpublished.
- Traditions must be named by their peoples and cosmologies — San/Khoisan, Dogon, K'iche' Maya, not geographic catch-alls.
- Fiction must engage the tradition at depth, not as window dressing.
- Simultaneous submissions accepted — notify us immediately on acceptance elsewhere.
- Response time: we aim for 60 days.
